Delhi's Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal has found himself in hot water over what he's been eating in jail. The ED (Enforcement Directorate) told the Delhi Court that Kejriwal, who has type 2 diabetes, has been indulging in foods like mangoes and sweets, despite his health condition.

According to ED counsel Zoheb Hossain, Kejriwal was supposed to be following a prescribed diet due to his diabetes, but instead, he's been eating foods high in sugar like mangoes, aloo poori, and sweets every day. This has raised concerns that he might be trying to manipulate his health condition to get medical bail. Arvind Kejriwal's dietary habits highlight potential health and legal issues.

Hossain presented a diet chart to the court, which showed that Kejriwal was consuming foods that are not recommended for diabetics. The court has directed the authorities to submit a report on the matter.

Arvin Kejriwal is currently in Tihar jail because he's being investigated for alleged money laundering related to the Delhi Excise Policy case. Despite his health issues, his blood sugar levels have reportedly fluctuated, dropping as low as 46.

Earlier, Kejriwal had requested permission to consult his regular doctor through video conferencing. However, his request was made amidst a legal battle, as he appealed to the Supreme Court, challenging a Delhi High Court ruling that denied his release from custody.

The High Court had rejected Kejriwal's claim that his arrest and detention were politically motivated, dismissing his plea for release. His judicial custody has been extended until April 23.

This latest development adds another layer of complexity to Kejriwal's legal troubles, as he faces accusations of not adhering to his prescribed diet and potentially attempting to use his health condition to secure bail. The court's decision on this matter will likely have significant implications for Kejriwal's ongoing legal battles.
